Chuck Officiating Hey, sports fans. I'm not just smiling because I'm getting some PT with Dickie V. I'm smiling because I love what I do and we finally found a place to do what we do. I'm Chuck DeCarbo, an official in four different sports for more than 15 years. Like you, I was frustrated by the lack of a centralized store on Long Island with a wide selection of gear for multiple sports.

On March 25, 2004, I opened The Sports Loft with a simple motto: Professional Approach, Personal Touch. We are all officials in multiple sports. You may see some of my friends with me at meetings - Kevin Bruen, John Cornwell, Bill Marchese, Doug Smith, Rob Toolan and Joe Zawistowski. We'd love to assist. Teamwork - one partner helping another - is what officiating is all about.

On Dec. 1, 2008, we moved into 283 Orinoco Drive in Brightwaters. We have enough space to stock inventory for fellow officials in six sports. Our objective is to attend meetings and service officials in baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer and softball. And if we miss you at a meeting, we have a spacious place to service your needs.

We carry high-quality gear and provide superb customer service. Joining our 2010 lineup are Reebok and Timex. Other lines include Cliff Keen, Diamond, Fechheimer, Pentagon and Wilson. Smitty, Manzella, New Balance, Shape Up, Trenway, Champion, Game, Pro Feet, Fox40, Richardson, Gerry Davis and Boston Leather.
